The successful candidate will demonstrate academic expertise, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to inclusive, respectful, and engaging post-secondary education.</p> <p><strong>About the Program:</strong></p> <p>For the past 19 years, Stenberg College has been an industry leader in providing psychiatric nursing education in British Columbia.</p> <p>Our RDPN program is the only psychiatric nursing program in B.C. that is offered province-wide to 7 regions through a hybrid, blended delivery, 8-semester, 147-credit program. Students engage in synchronous and asynchronous learning through online theory courses, complete in-person lab simulation at one of our five regional lab spaces, and in-person clinical practice experiences that expose students to a variety of health status, across the life span, and with varying complexity.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Position Type:</strong> Part-time / Contract</li> <li><strong>Mode of Delivery:</strong> Online Instruction via Moodle LMS</li> <li><strong>Schedule:</strong></li> </ul> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: none;"> <ul> <li data-section-id="vix1hw"><strong>Orientation Start Date:</strong> October 2026</li> <li data-section-id="13z757k"><strong>Course Dates:</strong> November 30, 2026 – February 21, 2027<br><em>(12 weeks of instruction plus one week of course wrap-up)</em><em></em></li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Compensation: </strong>Starts at $6568.00, with an instruction rate starting at $48/hour</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:</p> <ul> <li data-section-id="mwfone">Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience within a post-secondary institution</li> <li data-section-id="1vov081">Master’s degree required; PhD or doctoral-level education preferred</li> <li data-section-id="3jp15b">Demonstrated expertise related to Indigenous health, culture, history, and/or Indigenous studies</li> <li data-section-id="106xq7l">Experience teaching in an online learning environment and working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle is considered an asset</li> <li data-section-id="qkaj8">Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and scholarly skills</li> <li data-section-id="1d2cttx">Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful teaching practices</li> <li data-section-id="1ykzcup">Ability to foster meaningful student engagement and dialogue in an online learning environment</li> </ul> <p>We strongly encourage applications from Indigenous educators and individuals with lived and community-based experience.</p> <p><strong>What You Will Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li data-section-id="4dxkt1">Deliver high-quality online instruction aligned with course and program learning outcomes</li> <li data-section-id="1ie17ag">Facilitate engaging and respectful discussions related to Indigenous health, culture, history, and contemporary perspectives in Canada</li> <li data-section-id="7ditbo">Develop and implement evidence-informed and culturally responsive learning activities and assessments</li> <li data-section-id="7ab8ud">Assess and evaluate student learning while providing timely and constructive feedback</li> <li data-section-id="1uht70r">Maintain accurate academic and administrative records</li> <li data-section-id="1qi50hu">Participate in faculty orientation, meetings, and required administrative activities</li> </ul> <p><strong>Our Core Values:</strong></p> <p>We are guided by values that shape everything we do:</p> <ul> <li>Connectedness and Inclusivity</li> <li>Collaboration and Innovation</li> <li>Accountability and Integrity</li> <li>Adaptability and Responsiveness</li> <li>Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion</li> </ul> <p>Stenberg College is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all individuals can thrive.
