<p>Position summary</p>
<p>We are looking for a Senior Well Engineer to lead the planning and operational readiness of well delivery scopes. This role plays a critical part in pre-FID engineering studies and the preparation, monitoring, and remote support of field operations across oil & gas and low-carbon energy projects. This is a remote, project-based consulting position with the potential for on-site missions or client interfacing as required.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: bold">Responsibilities</span></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead pre-FID well engineering efforts, including well concept development, risk and cost assessments, and strategic input into field development plans.</li>
<li>Develop, review, and own Basis of Design, casing design, well trajectory planning, and drilling/completion programs tailored to project objectives and subsurface conditions.</li>
<li>Prepare and validate comprehensive execution documentation: drilling programs, time and cost estimates, bridging documents, and contingency plans.</li>
<li>Provide strategic engineering support for rig and services procurement, including scope definition, bid evaluation, and technical clarifications.</li>
<li>Interface closely with subsurface teams to ensure well designs are fit-for-purpose, operationally feasible, and aligned with reservoir access and field development strategy.</li>
<li>Deliver real-time operational support to execution teams, troubleshoot challenges, and contribute to remote performance monitoring.</li>
<li>Facilitate lessons learned reviews, operational debriefs, and design improvement workshops to drive value creation and operational excellence.</li>
<li>Mentor junior well engineers when applicable, and support capability building within project teams.</li>
<li>Apply conventional well engineering expertise to emerging energy sectors, such as geothermal and CCUS, in line with Ad Terra’s transition strategy.</li>

<p><span style="font-weight: bold">Qualifications</span></p>
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree (or higher) in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.</li>
<li>12+ years of well engineering experience in operating environments, with solid exposure to both early-phase planning and field execution.</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership in well delivery planning, operational readiness, and multi-disciplinary project integration.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of drilling engineering software and planning tools (e.g., WellPlan, Landmark EDM, Drillbench).</li>
<li>Familiarity with HPHT, geothermal, or unconventional operations is a plus.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.</li>
<li>Fluent in English (written and spoken).</li>
</ul>
